Keyhold XP Tomes adds six upgradeable books that store raw experience points. Empty your XP bar before a dangerous trip, carry experience between places, or feed stored XP into other Keyhold systems.

What it does

Portable XP storage that stays inside the world.

There is no menu or command to learn. The tome in your hand becomes the storage container, showing its exact balance, capacity, tier and charge percentage in the item description.

Bank experience

Move XP out of your player bar and into a physical item before enchanting, travelling or taking on something likely to kill you.

Move it around

Keep a tome in storage, carry it to another base, or pass it to another player. The stored amount remains attached to that exact item.

Upgrade over time

Start with an Apprentice Tome and work through six tiers, rising from 100 XP to a maximum capacity of 50,000 XP.

The XP is only as safe as the tome.

Storing XP protects your experience bar, not the item itself. A tome can still be dropped or lost like any other item, so put it somewhere secure before the dangerous part.

How to use

Hold it. Use it. Sneak to reverse it.

XP Tomes store raw XP points rather than levels. Minecraft levels become progressively more expensive, so the same number of points can represent a different number of levels depending on where you start.

Hold the tome

Place an Apprentice, Scholar, Archivist, Sage, Grand or Ascendant XP Tome in your main hand.

Use to store XP

Use the tome normally. It binds as much XP as it can from your current total, stopping automatically when either your XP or the tome runs out of room.

Sneak + use to release

Sneak while using the tome to return all XP currently stored inside it to your player.

Upgrades require an empty tome.

A charged tome is a separate stored-XP item and will not match the upgrade recipe. Release or transfer its XP before crafting the next tier.

Six tiers, from 100 to 50,000 XP.

Every figure below is a raw XP-point limit. The item description updates live to show the stored amount and percentage used.

Keyhold connections

Useful alone. Better with the rest of Keyhold.

XP Tomes works as a standalone add-on. These extra behaviours appear automatically when the matching Keyhold add-on is installed.

Keyhold Vaults

  • Use a charged tome normally on an XP Vault to deposit all XP stored in the tome.
  • Use an empty tome on an XP Vault to fill it from the vault.
  • Sneak + use a partly filled tome on an XP Vault to top it up.
Keyhold Waystones icon

Keyhold Waystones

  • Hold a charged XP Tome while selecting a destination.
  • Waystones first uses the XP carried by the player, then draws any remaining cost from the held tome.
  • If Vaults is also installed, an XP Vault can cover any shortfall left after the tome.

All six are shaped crafting-table recipes. The Apprentice Tome starts from a normal book; every later tier consumes the empty tome immediately below it.
